About a year ago, we included the Healdsburg Bubble Bar in a roundup of great places to enjoy sparkling wines in Sonoma County. Founded by winemaker Sarah Quider, a Sonoma County-native, the Bubble Bar opened a few years ago in downtown Healdsburg near Valette and SingleThread.

There, Quider has created a lovely gathering space for locals and visitors alike looking for a place to wind down, celebrate, commiserate, or all of the above, in the presence of bubbles by the glass and by the bottle.

Well today, September 23, Quider’s Healdsburg Bubble Bar is being mightily recognized. The Comité Champagne has selected it as one of the top 10 Places to Drink Champagne in the United States for 2026.

Quider says that as a small, independently owned bar in downtown Healdsburg, she’s incredibly honored by the recognition.

“When I opened the Bubble Bar in 2024, my hope was simply to create a fun, welcoming place where people would discover and enjoy Champagne without all the formality. To see our little bar receive national recognition just two and a half years later feels pretty extraordinary.”

She adds that she’s also pleased how it shines a light on Sonoma County as a wine destination.

“We have guests that come from all over the country – and increasingly from around the world – and I love being able to introduce them to wines while they’re here experiencing everything our community has to offer.”

Quider’s wine menu is carefully assembled, bringing together classic Champagnes with sparkling wines from across the globe, with lots of local wines to drink as well. 

Sonoma County producers with bottles on the menu recently include J Vineyards Love Brut Cuvée, Leo Steen Sparkling Chenin Blanc, and Iron Horse Wedding Cuvée, while Champagne offerings include such prestige marques as Krug, Laurent-Perrier, and Billecart-Salmon.

It says a lot about Sonoma County to be in the same conversation as Champagne when it comes to sparkling wines.
