AMISTA VINEYARDS, DRY CREEK VALLEY

Amista’s 20-acre estate vineyard, named Morningsong Vineyards, is on the valley floor in the heart of Dry Creek Valley. Stretching from Dry Creek Road to the banks of Dry Creek, it is comprised of the loose, gravelly soils typical of the area, providing excellent drainage. Their proximity to the Russian River Valley means that the vineyards linger in the cool morning fog before the sun begins to warm them.

Visitors will enjoy walking the property of Amista Vineyards, learning about their premiere Dry Creek Valley sparkling wines, and other Rhone varietals such as Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Guests will also see one of the largest fish and wildlife habitat restoration projects just steps away from the Tasting Room.

Amista Vineyards is revamping the experience and it will be available again at the end of April.

BALLETTO VINEYARDS, RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY

After growing their vegetable farming business since the late 1970’s, John and Terri Balletto saw the opportunity to also make a name in the winegrowing business. After seeing the high-quality Russian River Valley wines crafted from their fruit by other wine producers, John and Terri decided to pursue winemaking under the “Balletto Vineyards” name. Today, they are still using 10% of the grapes grown for our own label. They are currently in the 20-25,000 case range.

At Balletto Vineyards, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the adjacent wildlife preservation, cool-climate grape varieties such as Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris and the many soil types of the Russian River Valley. Visitors will also be surprised to learn of Balletto Vineyards’ favorite pastime, baseball, as they walk the Field of Dreams on the property.

La Crema was founded in 1979 as La Crema Viñera, meaning “Best of the Vine.” For more than 35 years, this family-owned and operated winery has focused exclusively on cool-climate coastal appellations, where ocean winds and fog allow grapes to ripen slowly on the vine. Today, they produce Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from the best cool-climate regions – ranging from the Russian River Valley to Carneros. Using boutique, time-intensive techniques to produce distinctively balanced and elegant wines, La Crema combines consistent high quality and elegant flavor with a modern cosmopolitan personality.

Opened in August 2016, the La Crema Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard is the new home of La Crema, a hub of wine education and culinary exploration, featuring interactive guest experiences and an engaging, interactive environment.
