The Rotlisberger Family
Rotlisberger Ranch
Rooted in Southern Alexander Valley just outside of Healdsburg, the Rotlisberger family has proudly farmed in Sonoma County since 1913. The original Rotlisberger Ranch began as a diverse orchard operation, with a variety of crops grown over the years. By mid-century, the focus had narrowed to prunes, which remained the primary crop until the 1970s. In keeping with Sonoma County’s agricultural evolution, the family made the pivotal decision to transition the farm to wine grapes, a decision that would carry their farming tradition into the next era. Today, the Rotlisbergers continue to cultivate premium wine grapes on their remaining 20-acre family farm, preserving both the land and the legacy their ancestors began. While wine grapes are now the mainstay, the family’s agricultural spirit extends beyond the vineyard. The farm is run by 5th generation Dan (Daniel) Rotlisberger and his wife Jacqueline, where they also raise goats, hogs, and steers, supporting their daughters’ active involvement in the Warm Springs 4-H program and local fairs, continuing a tradition of multigenerational farming in the Sonoma County community. They currently reside on the family farm with their daughter Ava Danielle (13), Ella Marie (11), and son Brock Colton (2).
