The Cadd Family
Cadd Ranch
The Cadd family has proudly called Sonoma County home since 1910, when they first began farming the rich soils of the Alexander Valley. Over the decades, Cadd Ranch grew and changed with the land, reflecting the region’s evolving agricultural landscape. Early on, the family cultivated signature crops of the era, including hops and prunes, before expanding into pears, dairy, and eventually apples. As the ranch matured, the Cadds embraced new opportunities, and in the 1970s they planted their first vineyards, a pivotal step that would shape the future of the ranch for generations. Today, Cadd Ranch remains a family-run operation, farming 36 acres of premium wine grapes specializing in Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. With more than a century of farming in Sonoma County, Cadd Ranch stands as a testament to perseverance, innovation, and a lasting love of agriculture.
