Pinot Noir from Green Valley of Russian River Valley

Pinot Noir from Green Valley of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from Green Valley of Russian River Valley
Listing Details:

Ross Station Vineyards sits on a gentle ridgetop of Gold Ridge sandy clay loam in northern Green Valley and consists of 7.4 acres of mature pinot noir vines with an average production of 30 tons of premium pinot noir. Planted 25 years ago, it’s farmed by a former winemaker committed to growing top-quality grapes from a healthy, rigorously hand-tended vineyard. The fruit benefits from evening cool breezes through the Petaluma Gap, with morning fog clearing early for hours of full sun. Located in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley AVA, as well as the Russian River Valley AVA and Sonoma Coast AVA, the result is a pinot noir of exceptional character and great potential.
Wines made from our grapes are described as “seductive and silky textured,” with a “firm acid structure” and having aromas of rose petal, black raspberry, and violet. Winemakers who’ve worked with our grapes speak of complex flavors such as strawberry, plum, Earl Grey tea, vanilla, cherry, autumn leaves, and grated nutmeg.
We welcome an interactive relationship between winery and grower to assure that the fruit meets your requirements. You’ll find more details at http://www.rossstation.com. Contact Terry Gibson for pricing: terry@rossstation.com.
