Buena Tierra and Corazón del Río are neighboring certified sustainable estates on Eastside Road in Healdsburg, situated directly on the Russian River in the heart of the Russian River AVA. Together they encompass 161 planted acres, 122 of which are Chardonnay, with the balance in Pinot Noir. All vines are cane pruned.
Corazón del Río — “Heart of the River” — has been in continuous production since the early 1970s, when the current ownership group cleared hops and apple orchards and planted the first grapevines. Buena Tierra — “Good Dirt” — was acquired not long after, a natural addition given its adjacency. In the half-century since, these vineyards have been producing premium Russian River Valley Wine fruit for a range of distinctive winery clients.
The farming is done entirely by an in-house crew, many of whom have worked this land for decades — some following in the footsteps of parents and relatives who farmed here before them. That continuity of care shows in the vines.
We do our best to be responsive, attentive partners to our winery clients, so that we can be an important part of your work creating truly special wines.
