Sonoma County Winegrowers Moving Offices to the Vineyard
Unique Location Reflects Group’s Commitment to Sustainability
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (July 31, 2018) – When you are working to become the nation’s first 100 percent sustainable winegrowing region, there is no better place to meet, educate and demonstrate sustainable winegrowing techniques than in the vineyard. With that in mind, the Sonoma County Winegrowers have announced that they will be moving their offices on August 1st to new workspace at Sunnyview Vineyard in Santa Rosa. The move provides acres of certified sustainable vineyards just feet away from the new office space.
“Sunnyview Vineyard will be an amazing location for hosting media, sommelier, marketing and grower education meetings right in the middle of a vineyard. We will also be creating an on-site Vineyard Adventure walk to aid in educating media and visitors about viticulture practices and sustainability,” said Karissa Kruse, president of Sonoma County Winegrowers. She added, “We thank American Ag Credit and our TRIO Partners, Sonoma County Tourism and Sonoma County Vintners, for being such great office mates and partners over the years and look forward to continuing our work together from our new location.”
Sonoma County Winegrowers plans to host all future committee and board meetings on-site. Located on Guerneville Road, the property includes a vineyard, a 2,700 square foot farm house for offices and a board room. Additional warehouse space exists for storage and classroom space for grower education. The Sonoma County Winegrowers has been sharing office space with the Sonoma County Vintners and the Sonoma County Tourism in the American Ag Credit Building on Aviation Boulevard. Both Vintners and Tourism will remain at the current location.
“On behalf of our Sonoma County Vintners Board of Directors, staff and members, we wish our Trio partner Sonoma County Winegrowers all the best with the relocation to their new home “in the vineyard,” said Michael Haney, executive director of Sonoma County Vintners. He added, “While they are moving to a new location, we look forward to continuing our strong, collaborative efforts and partnership with Karissa and her team for many years to come.”
