The Pastori Family
Pastori Vineyards & Winery
The Pastori family’s legacy in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley began in 1914, when Constante Pastori arrived from Pavia, a small town near Milan in Italy’s Lombardia region, and settled just north of Geyserville to begin farming. Starting with little more than determination and borrowed budwood from neighbors, the family planted their first vines among the valley’s traditional crops of apples, pears, prunes, and grapes. By the 1970s, the family had transitioned fully to wine grape farming, cultivating 60 acres that continue to thrive today. Each generation has carried forward a deep respect for the land and the values of hard work and community. Frank Pastori, representing the second generation, embodied these traditions, tending the vineyards well into his 90s and serving as a local historian and pioneer of Geyserville. His passing in 2020 at the age of 100 marked the end of an era, but his legacy endures. Today, the fourth generation, led by Frank’s grandson Paolo Pastori Ng, continues to guide Pastori Vineyards & Winery with a balance of heritage and innovation. The family’s winery on Geyserville Avenue in Cloverdale remains a testament to over a century of dedication to Sonoma County’s agricultural and winemaking traditions.
