Sip & Seed

Thank you for your interest planting Wildflowers in Sonoma County!

In honor of Saralee Kunde, a great leader and friend of agriculture and education in Sonoma County, and to support our community during this challenging year, we are giving complimentary wildflower seeds to our neighbors and friends. Thanks to all who came out to get wildflower seeds either from the wineries or from our office this past weekend, we were thrilled to have you and would love to see photos of you planting your seeds or of your flowers when they bloom!

We had some last-minute interest in seeds after the Press Democrat article ran last Sunday, December 6th. If you would still like to pick some up, we will be giving them out on one last day: Friday, December 11th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at our office: 3245 Guerneville Road, Santa Rosa. Please visit between these hours only to pick up seeds. We are cautiously working off-site so please do not attempt to pick up at our office at other times. Thank you for your understanding.

Years ago, the late Saralee Kunde gave away thousands of daffodil bulbs to local landowners to plant along roadways and fences. Daffodils bloom in the winter and Saralee’s hope was to bring color to our county in the cold, dreary months. Today, many of these daffodils still bloom annually, a reminder of her commitment and love for Sonoma County.

Please note: Wildflower seeds will be given out in 1/2 lb to 1 lb bags depending on availability. Participating wineries are open for pick-up on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your first choice says “Full” please make another selection.

Thank you for helping keep Sonoma County the most beautiful place to farm, live and thrive!
