The pinot noir vines were planted in 2001-2002 in two blocks, on an 8% slope of well draining Goldridge soil and 101-14 root stock. The two blocks include ~7400 vines consisting of three primary clones: 777, 667, and 115 (~one third each). The vineyard sits on the side of the valley facing south over the ~80 acre Dutton Family Mill Station vineyard towards the Atascadero Creek. We are in Green Valley sub-appellation of Russian River Valley (Sebastopol). This year I anticipate that we will get 3 tons of fruit. I have the certified laboratory data from prior harvests (2018: the brix was 24.1 and pH 3.6 – 3.7).
With my previous winery, I was a vineyard designate with ~200 case production. I can share bottles of the 2015 and 2016 Lennox Vineyards/Roger Roessler Winery pinot noir to share (the retail price is ~$60/btl). I am happy to travel to meet winemakers; I am also happy to have the winery personnel come here to Ferguson Road, Sebastopol.
