Frost Protection Regulations Likely

The State Water Resources Control Board will be holding a hearing on November 18 at 1:00 p.m. in Sacramento that may severely impact water use for frost protection. (1001 I Street, Second Floor Coastal Hearing Room, Joe Serna, Jr./Cal-EPA Building) Growers in the Russian River watershed may be impacted especially in Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Mark West Creek and Green Valley watersheds.

Growers in Mendocino and Sonoma County will be proposing a voluntary program as an alternative to regulation. Click on this link to read: cover letter outlining the proposal.
