The top two winners in each appellation earned a spot in the championship for a total of 10 contestants vying for county superiority. Cash prizes and gifts are awarded to the winners. Festivities also include a Winemaker/Vineyard Manager Pruning Competition with teams from each of the above appellations and a pruning demonstration by SRJC viticulture instructor Merilark Padgett-Johnson.
